Project Safe: IMOK (I’m OK)
The NORMIPro Environmental TASC, in collaboration with NORMI™ and NORMI™ Connect, is proud to announce the activation of Project Safe. In light of this year’s unprecedented tropical season, which has severely impacted many of our members, families, and friends through hurricanes, flooding, and other devastating weather events, we recognize the urgent need for enhanced communication and support.
Project Safe, also known as IMOK (I’m OK), is a robust text and voice communications platform designed to connect with our members while enabling them to communicate their safety status to us. We understand that many individuals in our community reside and work in areas prone to both natural and manmade disasters. Additionally, we are aware of the vital role played by those who respond from outside these affected zones, assisting in the rescue, recovery, and rebuilding phases of such disasters.
Our mission is to facilitate the dissemination of crucial information and support through the NORMI™ Connect platforms, along with our text and voice notification services. This initiative not only allows us to send out timely updates but also empowers our members, families, and friends to share their status—even in situations where phone service and power are limited.
To further enhance our communication capabilities, we are exploring the integration of qualified HAM radio support and alternative communication tools like Zello. Through these efforts, we aim to create a resilient network that ensures our community remains informed and connected during challenging times.
